Vision, Mission, Values and Priorities

Vision:
For Mountain District Vineyard Church to build Christ centered communities that would value and accept all. These communities will bring others into God’s Kingdom who in turn will affect the lives of many. The communities of Mountain District Vineyard Church will continue to grow and plant other Churches reaching into and building new communities.

Mission:
To reach the unchurched in our community for Christ through signs, word, deeds and genuine relationships.
To provide opportunities for our Christian community to worship God in order to grow in their spiritual maturity.
To participate in relationships because of Christ with each other and other Christian communities.
To encourage and create opportunities for our church community to participate in mixing with the un-churched within our local area through both welfare and social interaction.
To support organizations outside of our own community that embrace Christ centred togetherness and seek to care for the spiritual, physical and emotional wellbeing of their communities as a whole.
To recognise the gifting of the people within our church community and to equip them for the ministries that God has called them to.

Our Values Are:
Worship Bible Prayer Kingdom of God Mission
We believe these values encompass the purpose for the entire Church of God: to love God and to extend His Kingdom.

Our Priorities Are:
Worship Discipleship Evangelism Relationship
Pastoral Care Serving Bible Study Ministry in the Holy Spirit

These priorities are what we specifically believe God has directed us to do to see our values outworked. It is our belief that our priorities carry within them the genetic code of the Vineyard movement.
We believe that the Church is a living organism because it is made up of people. It is not, nor should it ever be, like a structured machine. Because of this, the way that our priorities are outworked may constantly change.
We believe that God is constant, but we also believe that God directs his people to continually remain relevant to the changing culture that we find ourselves in.
